The planning of the campus was done with eco-sensitivity to the mangroves on site and full integration of all the trees. The layout of the buildings followed the natural landscape drawing inspiration from the old Goan villages set in the lush landscape of the west coast.
The design language and building material palette reflects the vernacular architecture; a fusion of local with the Portuguese influence. The site was planned to be a motor-vehicle free with only pedestrian and cycle movement only with clustering of functions to promote maximum outdoor space usage with learning communities and informal gathering plazas and courts.
